Kol Yom Chesed 2018-19

Thank you to everyone who volunteered on December 9 for our first Kol Yom Chesed!
We're spreading the chesed throughout the year.  Instead of just one Yom Chesed date, this year we have three!  Please register below to join us for our next Kol Yom Chesed event on February 3, 2019.
Projects begin at 10:00 a.m. and should conclude by noon.
Cradles to Crayons
Description: Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in low- income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive — at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities with communities that have need in Brighton.
Project: Inspect, sort and package new and like-new donations into customized “Kid Packs” at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory in Brighton. Note:  All volunteers must be at least 5 years old.
Children's Hospital of Boston (FULL)
Description: Boston Children's Hospital is a 404-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care. As one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States, Boston Children's offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age.
Project: Decorate and fill gift bags for patients and families; make activity sheets for patients.

Lone Soldier
Description:  Israel’s Lone Soldiers are those whose families live abroad and who chose to leave their countries of origin to serve the State of Israel. The Lone Soldiers Program supports IDF Lone Soldiers financially, socially and emotionally during their challenging military service. FIDF follows these soldiers through every step of the process, providing a vast array of assistance and ensuring they know they are truly never alone.
Project: Prepare a very special care package for a lone soldier in Israel.  Make a fleece blanket, decorate a pillow case, and send words of encouragement to our lone soldiers.
Brookline Neighbors (FULL)
Description:  Our Brookline neighbors include the Fire and Police Departments who insure  our safety as well as the many families and individuals bordering our school campuses who are so gracious regarding the traffic and noise from our cars and students.
Project:  Make gift baskets to say "thank you" to our Brookline neighbors. Great project for young children!
