In response to many inquiries, we have created a page where you can leave a tribute and/or make a donation to the Mr. D Memorial Fund, which will be used to advance the Physical Education department, which was something Mr. D was both passionate about and committed to during his time at Maimonides.

2017-18 School Year Off to a Great Start!

Maimonides School began it's school year with special events in all our divisions which include the Early Childhood Center and Elementary, Middle and Upper School Divisions. New initiatives include an exciting all-school theme of the year, new Physics and Computer courses and enhanced technology in the classroom. 2017 Commencement: Two Milestones, 46 Graduates

Maimonides School’s 65th commencement ceremony Sunday morning featured a pair of milestones that reinforced the school’s reputation as a national landmark in Jewish education for eight decades.

Forty-six seniors received diplomas to culminate the program. The second name on that roster was Arthur Bloomfield, and it was announced that he is the school’s 2,000th high school graduate.

Seniors Prepared to Be Advocates for Israel

Rabbi Dov Huff, Maimonides Middle and Upper School Judaic studies principal, shared an emotional experience with teachers in a recent memorandum.

“After our Yom Ha'atzmaut chagiga and parade ended, we sent the students back to class. As everything settled down, I looked around the corner to find the juniors, wearing blue and white face paint, waving Israeli flags, going into classrooms and singing Am Yisrael Chai. It was very powerful. Their ruach and their modelling of love for Eretz Yisrael were amazing."
